Janet Kwakye

Programs Director

Janet Kwakye is a dedicated Project Manager, youth engagement activist, and passionate advocate for inclusive, quality education—especially in rural communities. With extensive experience in both volunteer and professional capacities, she has worked with youth-led networks, international organizations, and non-profits such as USAID, the West Africa Network for Peacebuilding (WANEP), and Emerging Public Leaders (EPL). Janet is a Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Fellow, a former YouthLead Ambassador for Ghana, and an active member of the Ghana Youth Manifesto Coalition.

At the West Africa Women Empowerment Foundation, Janet currently leads gender-responsive programs focused on community development. She also serves as Project Manager for The African Intelligence Club (The AI Club), where she played a key role in facilitating Ghana's return to the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) after a 13-year absence, reviving national interest in computer science and AI among high school students

Janet is also the Founding President of Zoetexx Global, an organization committed to digital security, project management, and social innovation. She served as the Educational Manager for Arise e.V. in 2020 to 2021 before transitioning to become the volunteer mentor for the organization, where she contributes her skills and experiences to mentor international volunteers through the Verein Niedersächsischer Bildungsinitiativen e.V. (VNB) as part of the weltwärts program.

Academically, Janet holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies from Wisconsin International University College and a Project Management Certificate from the Cambridge Center of Excellence. Her work reflects a deep and unwavering commitment to youth empowerment, gender equity, and sustainable development across West Africa.
