Who we are

The West Africa Women Empowerment Foundation (WAWEF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women and girls in West Africa, particularly in Ghana, to achieve their full potential and become agents of change within their communities. WAWEF addresses the multifaceted challenges hindering women's progress, including poverty, limited access to education and healthcare, economic disempowerment, and sociocultural barriers. Our comprehensive approach focuses on holistic development, recognizing the interconnectedness of these challenges and implementing integrated programs that foster sustainable change. WAWEF collaborates with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to ensure that our programs are culturally relevant, locally owned, and have a lasting impact.

A Legacy of Generosity: In Honor of Enoch Addico
