
Mr.Joseph Ayai Aryee

Mr.Joseph Ayai Aryee, is an accomplished civil engineer, educator, and leader with over 4 decades of experience across Africa, the Caribbean, and the United States.
Joseph pursued his early education in Ghana before earning a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Poznan Technical University in Poland. His career began in Jamaica, where he served as a Resident Engineer and later Director at the Estate Development Company under the Ministry of Housing. He also co-founded and led Hytech Associates Ltd., a private engineering consulting firm
In 1996, he earned his Professional Engineer’s License and transitioned into academia, lecturing at the University of Technology (UTech), Jamaica. He contributed to the Caribbean Board of Accreditation for Engineering and Technology and coordinated the National Building Code of Jamaica. He also served as President of the Jamaica Institution of Engineers from 2007 to 2009.
After moving to the United States in 2013, Joe worked with the New York City Department of Environmental Protection and later joined Northwell Health, New York State’s largest healthcare provider, as a Design and Construction Project Manager.
Joseph is currently training to become a Deacon at Franklin St. John’s United Methodist Church in New Jersey and proudly serves on the Advisory Board and Executive Council of the West Africa Women Empowerment Foundation, bringing decades of leadership and commitment to empowering women and communities across the region.
