Dr. Theresa Baffour is a dedicated nursing professional who currently serves as the Vice President of the Association of Ghanaian Nurses in New Jersey. She earned her RN and BSN degrees from Seton Hall University. Committed to excellence in nursing leadership, she pursued a Master’s degree in Clinical Nursing Leadership at Rutgers University, followed by a Doctorate in Executive Leadership from the same institution. To further expand her expertise, Dr. Baffour obtained certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) from Wilkes University.
With her extensive education and deep passion for healthcare, Dr. Baffour plays a pivotal role in advancing the association's mission to empower nurses of Ghanaian heritage and promote excellence in patient care. She is the founder of T & K Baffour Psychiatric Recovery Center in New Jersey, USA, where she provides compassionate, holistic care to individuals with mental health needs.
Dr. Baffour aspires to establish a similar organization in Ghana—dedicated to educating communities about the stigma surrounding mental health and delivering comprehensive, culturally sensitive care to her fellow Ghanaians.
